The Fifth Annual Upper Peninsula High School Math Challenge was from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. EST on Saturday 15 March 2014 at Northern Michigan University (Marquette Co, MI).
The contest was attended by 108 students on 28 teams representing the following 7 schools:

Marquette Senior High School, Marquette Area Public Schools (Marquette
Co, MI)
Part 1 consisted of ten individual problems. Each team earned a point on each problem for each member who solved it correctly. A maximum of 40 points could be earned on this part. Here is the list of Individual Problems and Solutions.
Part 2 consisted of five team problems. Each team earned four points for each correct answer. A maximum of 20 points could be earned on this part. Here is the list of Team Problems and Solutions.
Part 3 consisted of three relay questions. 4 points were given to teams who solved the relay in 3 minutes; 3 points for a 6-minute solution; 2 points for a 9-minute solution; 1 point for a 12-minute solution. Bonus points of 3, 2, 1 were given to the first, second, and third place team in each relay, respectively. Potentially, 21 points could be earned on this part. Second place went to The Radicals (A.D. Johnston Jr/Sr High School).
Third place went to Math Mo's (Escanaba Area Public High School).
The first place individual was Noah Stetson from Ishpeming High School.
The second place individual was Zach Mazurek from A.D. Johnston Jr/Sr High School.
The third place individual was Jess Masson from A.D. Johnston Jr/Sr High School..
